Kevin Grady Joins Siegel+Gale as Global Head of Content and Design
NEW YORK, July 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Global strategic branding firm Siegel+Gale (www.siegelgale.com) today announced the appointment of Kevin Grady to global head of content and design. Grady brings more than 20 years of design and innovation experience to the firm, spanning brand building, corporate identity, digital, web design, advertising, editorial design and journalism.
Grady joins Siegel+Gale from IDEO, where he served as design director of its Boston office. Prior to this, he worked at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Mullen and Arnold Worldwide. Grady has led many successful client engagements during his career, including GAP, Grey Goose, FAGE and Benjamin Moore. His accolades include the Emmy-nominated "Singing Cowboy" from the anti-smoking Truth campaign.
"We are thrilled that Kevin is arriving at such a momentous time for our firm," said Howard Belk, co-CEO and chief creative officer at Siegel+Gale. "Increasingly our global clients recognize brand as a strategic lever for their businesses. They see design as a differentiator. They view experience as crucial to relationships. Kevin's diverse skills will be deployed on a stage as big as the world."
Grady was recently commissioned by the Food and Drug Administration to simplify the Nutrition Facts Label. He was invited to the White House by First Lady Michelle Obama for the unveiling, who described the changes as a "huge deal."
"Much of Kevin's previous work reflects Siegel+Gale's ethos of simplicity," said David Srere, co-CEO and chief strategy officer at Siegel+Gale. "His ability to distill the complex into simple, surprising ideas, and then dramatize them in powerful communications and experiences, makes him a perfect fit for our firm."
"'Simplify, then amplify.' That's a tenet of Siegel+Gale's philosophy that I really admire and believe in," said Grady. "I'm looking forward to working with our global team to bring this philosophy to life in innovative and memorable ways for our clients."
Grady also founded the award-winning pop-culture magazines, Lemon and Gum. Through these publications, he has interacted with influencers like David Bowie, Daft Punk, Jeff Koons, Ray Bradbury, Nancy Sinatra and Buzz Aldrin. Grady holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
