KELLY's Private Exchange Solutions Top 18,000 Clients
More Companies Seek One-Stop Benefits Shopping for Employees
BALTIMORE, June 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Kelly & Associates Insurance Group (KELLY) announced at its 2013 Broker Partner meeting that the firm now has over 10,000 corporate clients ranging in size from 2 to more than 10,000 employees on its Private Exchange platform. These clients utilize KELLY's online tool, KTBSOnline, to provide multiple benefit choices to their employees as well as to simplify enrollment to multiple carriers and to deliver one bill for all lines of coverage. KELLY began providing this Total Benefits Solution® approach for its clients over 20 years ago in order to allow employers to offer multiple benefit options to their employees and to streamline their enrollment and billing processes. This approach to benefits is the current model for the new Public Exchanges mandated by the Affordable Care Act (ACA) for medical lines of coverage.
In addition, KELLY has an online Individual Exchange Solution, KELLYExchange.com that allows individuals to shop multiple carriers for medical, dental and vision coverage options. Currently, more than 8,000 individuals are covered through this solution. KELLY also plans to work with the Maryland Health Connection, for clients and individuals who qualify for the Federal subsidy, who may be better served through the state exchange.
"One-stop shopping has been KELLY's business model for over 20 years. It allows our clients the opportunity to offer their employees a wide array of benefit options without the burden of multiple enrollment applications or bills; all managed through our proprietary Kelly Total Benefits Solution® technology – KTBSOnline," said Frank Kelly III, Chief Executive Officer of KELLY. "While others in the industry are being forced to react to the ACA mandates, we feel fortunate that we already have this model in place, tested and fully functional, in order to continue to serve our clients, the clients of our Broker Partners, and the needs of the marketplace."
He added, "One differentiator for us is that we are not restricted like the Public Exchanges to offering only medical healthcare plans. KELLY's Total Benefits Solution® also provides businesses and their workers with access to a full range of other benefit options such as dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance and even wellness programs."
Sandy Walters, President of Kelly Administrative Services, the division of KELLY that handles the enrollment and billing for clients as well as call center operations, notes that KELLY's cafeteria-style approach holds enormous advantages for employers and their workers.
"Through our integrated approach we are able to provide our clients with one consolidated bill and only one enrollment form for all lines of coverage. These are efficiencies that the Public Exchanges cannot offer, nor can they offer access to benefits such as vision, life insurance and, in some places, even dental insurance is not available through these exchanges." Walters went on to say that "In addition, our clients and their employees have access to a call center to help answer complex benefits and coverage questions."
