SEATTLE, Jan. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Jobaline, the leading Mobile and Bilingual Cloud based Recruiting Solution and Marketplace for hourly jobs, announced its alliance with Monster (NYSE: MWW), a global leader in connecting people to jobs. The two technology companies offer large employers the powerful reach to quickly find hourly workers in every location in the U.S., a 60 percent savings in overall costs of sourcing, screening and recruiting high volumes of hourly workers and a decrease in the total time to hire by more than 50 percent. The combined solutions offer a best-in-class candidate experience.
The hourly jobs created on Jobaline will be automatically distributed across Monster's network, including the Monster mobile app, offering large employers a pay-per-results solution where they pay only for local candidates that live within the required distance or commute time from the job and that pass the screening criteria defined by the recruiting manager. This also provides clear visibility into each candidate's progress throughout the job application, matching and screening process, which, integrated with Jobaline's enterprise analytics, provides a unique view into the operation in high volume hiring environments. The enterprise analytics enables hiring managers and corporations to optimize their processes while also providing a best-in-class experience for the candidates to these hourly wage positions.
The hourly job sector is the backbone of the U.S. labor force. There are 76 million hourly workers, 44 million of whom are service employees earning $14.30 an hour and costing $2,000 each to recruit, screen, select, onboard, and train, according to the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment at U.C. Berkeley. "The dirty little secret is that due to outdated technologies and processes, businesses burn billions each year in the constant hiring cycle that results from high attrition and seasonality churn. Simply maintaining 27 million retail, hospitality, and general labor (janitorial, security, distribution centers) positions costs $20 billion," said Luis Salazar, co-founder and CEO of Jobaline Inc. "We are combining the best cloud based recruiting technology from Jobaline: sourcing, mobile, bilingual and automated screening, applicant tracking system, enterprise recruiting analytics and compliance, with the powerful global and local reach provided by Monster."
Hourly workers are crucial for our economy, representing two thirds of the total labor. These workers experience different challenges in their continuous search for full-time, part-time and seasonal jobs nearby. The job application might not be mobile-friendly or especially efficient, causing distrust among these hard workers. These issues result in high abandonment rates in the job application process and increased costs for the recruiting companies. "The integration between Jobaline and Monster Worldwide creates a seamless process -- from job advertising and local sourcing to screening and tracking, until the person is hired. Together we are simplifying the process for recruiting and hiring managers, while creating a positive brand experience for their candidates," said Alison Schurman, Director of Business Development and Platform Partnerships at Monster.
Since 2014, Jobaline has processed close to two million mobile and EEOC compliant job applications, serving directly or through the leading Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) companies in the U.S., the needs of large Retailers, Staffing Agencies, Managed Services Companies and Hospitality groups that each hire over 5,000 hourly workers per year and that seek to hire faster and more efficiently. "Two thirds of the hourly jobs in the U.S. are created by two percent of the corporations and they deal with inefficiencies in job advertising, candidate sourcing and screening, recruiting and onboarding that are augmented by the high volume of hires they conduct," concluded Salazar. "By working closely with Monster, we are enabling these large employers to put people back to work faster and more efficiently."
