Jenni was inspired through her experience recording public service announcements for this year's annual Entertainment Industry Foundation Revlon Run/Walk For Women which takes place in New York on April 30 and in Los Angeles on May 7.
The EIF Revlon Run/Walk event is one of the nation's largest single-day fundraisers to support women's cancer research, counseling and outreach programs in New York City and Los Angeles.
The EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women was launched in 1994 through the combined efforts of Lilly Tartikoff, Ronald O. Perelman, chairman of Revlon, Inc., and the Entertainment Industry Foundation. Since inception, more than $60 million in grants have been made from the combined events in New York and Los Angeles.
I LOVE JENNI has been a top ratings getter for mun2, breaking records for the network and beating its cable competitors during its debut in March. Jenni Rivera is the most prominent female recording artist in regional Mexican music, the top-selling Latin music genre in the U.S. She is a multi-gold, platinum and double platinum award-winning artist whose record-breaking streaks include being the first Latin artist to sell out the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles two nights in a row, and the first female artist of the genre ever to be booked at the Staples Center (September 3).
Rivera and her daughter, Chiquis, are on the May cover of Latina magazine. Rivera is making history as the first mother to be featured with her daughter on the cover of Latina since the magazine's launch l5 years ago. In the Mother's Day issue the regional Mexican music mogul opens up to Latina about building a family empire, opening up her family to reality TV cameras and overcoming many of life's challenges along the way.
I LOVE JENNI is a spin-off of last year's hugely successful "Jenni Rivera Presents Chiquis and Raq-C" on which Rivera partnered with mun2 in 2010 as Co-Executive Producer. The show scored record ratings for the channel, and established a Rivera franchise for mun2. "Jenni Rivera Presents Chiquis and Raq-c" is available on DVD exclusively at Target.
