BRYN MAWR, Pa., Nov. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On November 17, 2017, Jayne Nemerow Schiff, MSFS, CLU®, ChFC®, REBC®, CAP®, ChHC®, MPS, was inducted into The American College of Financial Services Alumni Hall of Fame in recognition of her exceptional professionalism and dedication to The College and its educational mission. The induction ceremony took place during a luncheon celebration at the prestigious Pyramid Club Philadelphia in conjunction with the Managing Clients' Healthcare and Retirement Needs Continuing Education Lecture.
Jayne was the first woman to serve as president of The College's Alumni Association Advisory Board, and she continues to serve as an emeritus member. She also serves on The American College Foundation Board of Directors and on the advisory board of The American College MassMutual Center for Special Needs. The College's President and CEO, Robert R. Johnson, Ph.D., CFA®, CAIA®, CLF®, notes that "Jayne has made significant and lasting contributions to The College, its alumni, and the profession it serves. Jayne is an independent insurance agent with Schiff Benefits Group, LLC. Before joining the firm, she was director of executive benefits for The NIA Group. She had also served as controller and senior account executive at NYLEX Benefits and at Clark/Bardes Partners. Jayne began her career as an agent with The Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York, where she led the Women's Division in her third year. She became MONY's first regional director of marketing, heading the Metro New York Region. In addition to her service in the insurance profession, Jayne was an adjunct professor at Manhattanville College and worked with families advocating for their special needs children. Jayne is a Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table and a member of the Association of Advanced Life Underwriters.
Jayne attended New York University and graduated from Marymount College of Fordham University, Tarrytown, NY. She holds a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) degree from Manhattanville College, specializing in learning disabilities. She earned her professional designations and holds a Master of Financial Services (MSFS) from The American College of Financial Services.
