J-14 Named One Of The Largest Social Media Brands In 2014
J-14 RANKED AS THE #1 TEEN PUBLISHER IN SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT
NEW YORK, March 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Bauer Xcel Media, Bauer Media Group's digital division, today announces that out of more than 100,000 brands ranked, J-14 has been named one of the top 25 U.S. social media brands of 2014*. In the report published by social media analytics company Shareablee, J-14 is the only teen media brand that holds a coveted spot on the top 25 list, surrounded by major publishers like National Geographic, Buzzfeed and People and other national brands including NFL and NBA, Mercedes and Victoria's Secret.
According to Shareablee's report analyzing social media, J-14 ranks #1 in the teen publishers category by social engagement with nearly two times the level of engagement as its next competitor and is the fifth largest overall in the media publishing rankings, per engagement.
"The number of users that are interacting and discussing our content on social media is a clear testament to Bauer's innovative approach in the digital space," said Heather Thompson, executive editor of Bauer Xcel Media's Teen Group. In 2014, J-14 had more than 81 million actions across all social media, which includes a brands post likes, shares, favorites, retweets and comments.
J-14 has focused heavily on its Facebook fan base. Leading as the number one teen editorial brand on the social media platform, J-14 currently has 4.9 million followers and twice as many total actions than any other brand in the category*.
