Issa Asad, Q Link Wireless CEO, Endorses Yik Yak as the Next Super-Profitable Social Platform
DANIA, Fla., Dec. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Hailed as the newest social media phenomenon, Yik Yak enters the already crowded social media market and is carving out a space of its own amid Facebook and Twitter. Issa Asad, who is a social media guru, best-selling author and entrepreneur from Dania, Florida, has endorsed Yik Yak as the new next big thing.

While other social media apps connect "friends" and acquaintances, Yik Yak brings a fresh new perspective to the market. Yik Yak is an "anonymous social media app"; it allows users to anonymously create and view posts within specific 10 mile radiuses. Posts, or "Yaks," are only seen by users within close proximity.
Asad, who is the CEO of Q Link Wireless, LLC, and Quadrant Holdings, LLC, of Dania, Florida, believes that Yik Yak's anonymity is what sets the social media platform apart.
"Businesses should be salivating at what Yik Yak's anonymity brings to the social media marketing industry," said Asad. "To be able to geo-specifically target your customers is something unique, and finally, Yik Yak makes it easy to do just that."
Yik Yak basically acts as a virtual bulletin board, and is especially popular among college students. With the app, users are able to stay alert to the latest things going on in their current location. Yik Yak also doesn't require users to have previous connections with other users, and all Yaks are based on where the user is currently located.
Upon starting the app, Yik Yak instantly refreshes to show the last 100 messages from up to 10 miles around the user. If they like the post, they can up-vote it or down-vote it. Asad says that businesses can use Yik Yak to "sound off their latest promotions and specials and engage with new customers."
One of the top reasons Issa Asad see such promise for Yik Yak is because of the "dynamic way the founders have already raised a boatload of cash." The anonymous app was developed by Furman University graduates and visionaries, Brooks Buffington and Tyler Droll.
Buffington and Droll released Yik Yak in November 2013, and within 5 months, raised over $1.5 million in investments. Three months later, their investments totaled $10 million and became the 9th most downloaded app in the United States. Currently, Yik Yak has raised over $60 million.
"I predict Yik Yak to be the next super-profitable social media platform, and one of the ways businesses can cash in now is to get in on the action early on," said Asad.
