(VT Systems), today announced that IsoTropic Networks, a leading solutions-based provider of satellite Internet services and iDirect Host Network Operator (HNO), has upgraded its global satellite network to the iDirect Evolution platform with iDX 3.1 software. IsoTropic upgraded to Evolution to enhance the efficiency, affordability, and scalability of its growing satellite network, which is critical to its continued success as an iDirect Hub Operator offering Virtual Network Operator (VNO) services. As an HNO, IsoTropic owns and operates its own teleport and shared hub infrastructure, while providing its reseller partners the ability to maintain full control of their own networks and remotes.
Evolution enables IsoTropic to reduce its operating expenses by maximizing space segment efficiency through built-in DVB-S2 with Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) technology. IsoTropic will further improve the efficiency and flexibility of its services through iDirect's iDX 3.1 operating software. Because iDX 3.1 integrates both TDMA and SCPC connectivity on a single network, IsoTropic can offer its end customers the ability to switch between TDMA and SCPC based on dynamic bandwidth requirements.
"We value our long standing relationship with iDirect and their integration of TDMA and SCPC onto a single platform has become a true game changer for us. The ability to switch a customer to SCPC to support heavy traffic conditions while retaining the benefits of our shared platform provides for network-wide bandwidth efficiencies and increased profitability."
~ Lynn SALISBURY-ZBIERSKI
President, IsoTropic Networks
"The Evolution release represented key advances for our partners. We are honored that IsoTropic, as a leading innovator, is realizing the ROI from Evolution and is able to offer more value to their growing customer base. As we continue to invest in our technology, we look forward to finding new ways to advance the capabilities of satellite communications and continually lower TCO for our partners."
