Instrumentation Laboratory Receives ISO 14001:2004 Certification for all US Facilities
Compliant with ISO Environmental Management Standards with No Nonconformities
BEDFORD, Mass., Nov. 22, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Instrumentation Laboratory (IL), today announced that both their US Corporate Headquarters, located in Bedford, MA, and the Reagent Manufacturing and Technology Center, located in Orangeburg, NY, have passed the TUV Rheinland Stage II Audit with no nonconformities. Based on this audit, the Bedford and Orangeburg facilities have received ISO 14001:2004 certification. The certification exists to help minimize environmental impact.
During the audits, analysts rigorously surveyed all aspects of operations in both facilities to ensure that each area conformed to the IL environmental policy. Annually, IL establishes environmental targets and objectives, relating to a variety of environmental programs that go beyond merely complying with environmental laws and regulations, including: energy control, pollution reduction, waste-water control, and employee awareness/education on environmental issues.
"IL employees are passionate about delivering our products in a responsible and environmentally conscious way," said Stan Wharton, Vice President of Quality Assurance at IL. "We are honored to receive this ISO certification and are confident that our Environmental Policy is robust and comprehensive, to ensure minimal adverse impact to the environment."
