InList Appoints Media Entrepreneur Jason Binn as Chief Advisor to their Board Of Directors
MIAMI BEACH, Fla., Aug. 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- InList, the worldwide nightlife and events booking app, is proud to announce the appointment of DuJour Media's Jason Binn as Chief Advisor to their Board of Directors. Binn's new consulting role will kick off a next-level expansion into the luxury lifestyle sector for the two-year-old technology company. Binn is currently the founder and CEO of DuJour Media. He also founded Niche Media, a national stable of high-end magazines, in 1992, and quickly expanded the company into an influential luxury network. With more than 25 years' experience creating insider-access events and elite brand opportunities, Binn will now lend his expertise to provide "bragging rights" experiences to the InList customer.
"Consumers today prefer to buy an experience over a product," says InList co-founder Gideon Kimbrell. "This partnership between InList and Jason leaves us uniquely positioned to continue to capitalize on this trend."
Binn is no stranger to InList—he has been partnering with the company on numerous events and activations since they launched in 2014. In his new role, Binn plans on expanding InList's access to exclusive events and programming, which will enhance their membership offerings, further engaging some of the most influential people in the world.
InList captures all segments of the entertainment audience with diverse transactions, booked directly through the app, ranging from $100 to $120,000. (An average transaction, including tickets & restaurants, is $1,500 plus). Sales by end of 2017 will reach $20 million. Since Binn helped launch InList, revenues have grown 25% quarter over quarter whereby at the end of 2017 InList will have grown from 120,000 members in 2016 to 240,000 across iPhone, Android and the web.
Through the app, members enjoy VIP access to experiences that include clubbing, dining, concerts, festivals, star-studded meet and greets, and awards shows in more than 45 cities around the world. Some current available offerings include attendance at a private yacht party at the Singapore Grand Prix and an opportunity to hobnob with the Lotus team starting at $10,000. Recently, InList even offered VIP access to the highly anticipated Chopard party during Cannes Film Festival, giving members an opportunity to have cocktails with Gigi Hadid, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kim Kardashian for $15,000 and upwards.
"We are very excited to have Jason onboard as part of the team," says InList co-founder Michael Capponi. "Our history goes back to the early days of South Beach when Jason was publishing Ocean Drive and Hamptons magazine. I've always had the utmost respect for him, and it's great to take this next step together."
"I have personally enjoyed watching InList on its amazing ride, exponentially growing its most valuable membership base in under two years," Binn says. "Their niche access opportunities are one of a kind, and InList was first to market in creating a highly proprietary software platform that's gained over 70% market share and has limited others from entering the space. InList is shaping the future of how people interact—I am confident they are onto something big."
Alongside all of this growth, InList's core focus still remains on its members and their needs, including nightlife table and ticket sales in over 45 cities around the globe. InList credits much of its success to a unique curating process, which leverages the knowledge and relationships of its global network of connected ambassadors, as well as Capponi's longtime nightlife career. Binn's role with the company will further develop InList's collection of truly unique experiences and events, leverage the DuJour brand and it's access to world of luxury and its readership of over 3M affluent consumers.
