InfoComm Executive Director to Address ACE2017 Annual Meeting of Higher Education Leaders
FAIRFAX, Va., Jan. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Integrated audiovisual experiences enable immersive learning on today's college campuses, leading to better outcomes for students, teachers and higher education administrators. InfoComm International Executive Director and CEO David Labuskes, CTS, CAE, RCDD, will take this message to leaders of higher education institutions during the American Council on Education's 99th Annual Meeting, March 11-14 in Washington, D.C.
"Colleges and universities of all types are competing to attract a generation of students that expects technology-driven experiences and prefers to learn in new ways," Labuskes said. "And it's not just inside the classroom. The best integrated audiovisual experiences permeate higher education environments so that anywhere there's an exchange of information, it happens in the most seamless, engaging way possible."
InfoComm International is the trade association representing the commercial audiovisual industry worldwide and a proud sponsor of the ACE17 Annual Meeting. Labuskes' Focus Zone Presentation, Connected Classes: Audiovisual Experiences Lead to Better Learning Outcomes, will take place Monday, March 13, at 10:45 a.m. in the Supreme Court Room of Washington's Marriott Marquis. Information and registration can be found at www.aceannualmeeting.org.
The ACE Annual Meeting attracts 2,000 higher education leaders, including presidents, chancellors, chief academic officers, provosts, deans, department chairs and more.
"It is part of InfoComm's strategic mission to raise awareness about the effectiveness of AV solutions among the many customer segments that appreciate audio and video in their daily lives but are only beginning to consider AV in the context of enterprise technology strategies," Labuskes continued. "Higher education institutions have long been consumers of AV technology and active in the InfoComm community. We want to underscore to decision-makers at higher education institutions that investment in AV will lead to the kinds of outcomes that make their schools successful."
Today's AV experiences combine systems, space and content into an environment where connected students thrive. InfoComm's Focus Zone Presentation will cover combining pedagogy, physical space and technology to be more engaging; transforming one-way lectures into interactive learning experiences; and more.
