SDMI was founded by Dr. Leon Steinberg, his son Dr. David Steinberg and business partner Dr. Mark Winkler and from day one they brought in dynamic women, some of which still work at SDMI today, when asked his thoughts on the conversation Dr. David Steinberg was quick to respond, "I am proud to work here," COO, Jerry Hartman echoed his sentiments.
Debbie O'Neal-Poole and Lona VanBoven both featured in the conversation series have worked for SDMI for 50 and 41 years respectively, Debbie starting with Dr. Leon Steinberg before SDMI was founded in 1988 and Lona, honored this year with the Healthcare Headliners Lifetime Achievement award, speaks to Debbie O'Neal-Poole as being one of the women in her life who inspires her. Rachel Papka, Chief Health Informatics Officer said in her interview, "Every day I am empowered by the women of Steinberg Diagnostic."
Bringing the women together to talk about healthcare will hopefully inspire the women of Southern Nevada to take a more proactive role in their own health and wellness. Many of the women remind us that in order to take care of others we must first take care of ourselves and Dr. Aanshu Shah, Director of Women's Imaging speaks to the advances in medicine, "If we catch it early we can make a significant difference." SDMI offers a wide variety of procedures that are unique to women from annual Screening Mammograms to more advanced procedures like Biopsies. Women can learn about the services offered at SDMI by visiting their new women's imaging section of the website at sdmi-lv.com/womensimaging a page that launched in conjunction with the International Women's Day celebration.
