Idaho Central Credit Union Earns 2017 Financial Services OnBase Innovation Award
Innovative use of OnBase workflow enables process standardization, improved report quality and enhanced member service
CLEVELAND, Oct. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Idaho Central Credit Union was selected as Hyland's 2017 Financial Services OnBase Innovation Award recipient at the content services provider's annual user conference, CommunityLIVE, September 17-21 in Las Vegas. Regarded as the premier information conference within the industry, attendees learned valuable technology insights and gained hands-on training. They also heard technology success stories from Hyland's most innovative customers – including ICCU, who showcased its use of workflow to transform its automobile lending procedures.
Chosen by peers through a blind voting system, ICCU presented how it leverages OnBase workflow functionality to automate and standardize the credit union's auto loan processes. Since implementing the workflow, ICCU has improved accountability, increased labor savings and enhanced report quality by completely streamlining loan processes and helping members obtain vehicles faster.
"We have roughly 100 workflows in production today, seven currently being tested and are working to build 19 more," said Bruce Black, systems analyst at ICCU. "But our auto loan workflow has been deemed one of the most successful OnBase projects, transforming a once manual and slow process that hindered our mission, vision and focus of providing the best member service."
Using OnBase workflow, ICCU now generates a VIN Error Correction form for its auto loans to ensure all information is gathered when the loan process commences. Exception reports immediately alert employees if missing information is needed prior to sending the loan package out to external partners, thus decreasing the time it takes to refile missing data.
"This year's Financial Services OnBase Innovation Award finalists had some of the most interesting and notable solutions to drive efficiency throughout the institution, optimize processes and bring tangible ROI," said Michelle Harbinak Shapiro, financial services solution marketing manager at Hyland. "We congratulate ICCU on this recognition and look forward to continuing our partnership to ensure it delivers the best service possible to its members."
