ID Media Chairman/CEO Lynn Fantom Honored With 2013 Luminaire Award for Media Excellence
NEW YORK, April 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Lynn Fantom, Chairman/CEO of ID Media, an Interpublic Group media agency, will be honored with a 2013 Luminaire Award at a ceremony held at The Pierre in New York City tonight.
Now in its 25th year, the Luminaire Awards recognize excellence in media production, and are often referred to as the "grassroots Academy Awards." IDEAlliance, a non-profit organization, presents the awards annually to distinguished media professionals across a variety of industries.
This year's honorees—five altogether—hail from media, technology, financial services, sports entertainment, and retail.
A former Advertising Age "100 Best and Brightest Women in Advertising," ID Media's CEO, Lynn Fantom, was selected because of her "digital leadership, especially at a time when the industry and many of its technologies and best practices were not yet mainstream," says Luminaire Awards committee member Brenda Barozzi, who also oversees production services at Pipeline, an IPG agency.
As CEO of ID Media, Lynn leads a diversified media services agency that's brokered numerous digital "firsts" for its clients. When Apple released its iPad, ID Media convinced one of its clients, a luxury travel brand, to be among the first to advertise on the tablet. The agency has also leveraged SMS digital couponing in TV for a major beauty brand, and partnered with mobile providers like ShopText to deliver innovative media buying models.
"Innovation is at the heart of what we do at ID Media, but that innovation is driven first and foremost by a workplace culture where employees aren't afraid to bring new ideas to the table or take risks on behalf of clients," says Lynn. "From an employee who helped create many of our mobile search techniques to another who reengineered our print production processes, we're continually identifying new ways to deliver ROI and help our clients stay ahead of the times."
Other honorees this year include Kevin Brucato, Director of Operations at Prudential; Bill Kasdorf, VP and Principal Consultant at Apex Content Solutions; Chris Noble, Sr. Director of Print Operations at ESPN's Digital and Print Group; and Brian Sallaberry, AVP, Publishing Operations at Victoria's Secret Direct.
