Iconosys Continues to Accept Submissions for Pitch That App!!!™ Night and Chance to Win an App Development Deal
Nearly 200 submissions received to date at www.pitchthatapp.com; 15 participating sponsors from local and national organizations will attend August 17 event in Orange County
LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif., Aug. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Iconosys, Inc., a leader in mobile safety communication and life-style applications, is preparing to launch the first of an exciting monthly event series titled Pitch That App!!!™ Night. Iconosys has already received nearly 200 submissions from eager participants who will pitch their app ideas to partners, app investors and the local developer community. Submissions will be accepted at www.pitchthatapp.com until midnight on Wednesday, August 17. Similar to the reality television show "Shark Tank," Pitch That App!!! Night will give entrepreneurs and other app innovators a platform for finding partners to assist in the financing, development and creative process involved in building that "killer app."
Entrants will also have the chance to win a prize-pack from mobile banking solutions provider and Daily Deal aggregator Monster Offers, which will award a $500 pre-paid ZalaPay card to the person who showcases the best idea that integrates mobile payments and mobile banking solutions. 5-10 apps will be chosen as winners and will potentially be offered an app development deal with Iconosys, an Iconosys partner, and/or an Iconosys financing partner, who under the deal terms would pay part or all of the cost of developing the app. Each presenter will have three minutes to set-up and five minutes to present to a panel and crowd of venture capitalists, angel investors, fellow entrepreneurs and other business leaders.
Iconosys has built nearly 600 Smartphone apps since its inception in 2009, including many successful titles that have been covered in the national media, such as Trick or Tracker™ (as seen on "Saturday Night Live" in October 2010, and then again on NBC in January 2011 .) At the August 17th Pitch That App!!! Night, Iconosys CEO and co-founder, Wayne Irving II, along with successful entrepreneurs and founders of some of the nation's most successful companies, will be on hand to provide commentary on the app ideas and answer questions about the mobile industry.

Entrants are encouraged to include graphics or sketches with their submissions. Entrants are automatically invited to the Aug. 17 event (along with one guest.) Facts About the Iconosys "Pitch That App!!!" Contest
- Entrepreneurs, housewives, high school kids, clubs, finance professionals, landscapers and anyone else with an idea can come to participate with others in a setting where ideas can be shared and evaluated.
- Winners will be chosen from the submissions that arrive up to the day before the event.
- A "Wild Card" will be selected on the evening of the event through the raffle process. All those that come will receive a raffle ticket, and at the end of the scheduled presentations, 5-10 winners will be chosen to get up and make presentations to the crowd.
- Categories for submissions are Financial, Lifestyle, Entertainment, Social Networking, and three Games categories: Action, Puzzles, and Strategy.
- Winners will receive offers for financing covering all or part of the costs associated in developing and publishing the concept as a finished app on the Android or iPhone, or both.
- Presenters should be prepared to offer sketches, front end flowcharts, database flowcharts, requirements, and descriptive interaction of how their app may integrate with other resources, including Facebook, a website, or other non-app devices or destinations.
