MATAWAN, N.J., June 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- iCIMS, Inc., a leading provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) talent acquisition software solutions for growing businesses, has announced its strengthened foothold in the market, with expanded research and development focused on mobile-optimized recruitment technologies – setting the bar for what recruiters and candidates expect from software providers in an increasingly mobile world.
iCIMS monitored the traffic of more than 200 million job seekers visiting iCIMS-hosted mobile-optimized career portals over the first five months of 2014 in order to observe their mobile behavior. The growth of mobile usage among job seekers showed a dramatic 75 percent increase during this time, reinforcing the importance of a mobile-friendly candidate experience. To date, 737,000 total candidates successfully applied via a mobile device and nearly one in five mobile job views result in moving forward during the application process. Furthermore, since the introduction of the mobile-responsive career portals within the company's flagship product, iCIMS Recruit, the rate at which candidates viewed additional pages on a career site, increased by 55 percent.
Staying true to its best-to-market approach, today, every iCIMS customer is provided with a completely mobile-responsive candidate experience. All career portals are mobile optimized, using a responsive design technique that automatically accommodates the appropriate viewing experience whether the candidate is on a desktop, smartphone, or tablet. In addition to the device-friendly experience available, candidates can now upload their resumes or other application documents straight from their device by accessing a Google Drive or Dropbox account. Included without extra charge, the responsive design is integral to ensuring customers are able to win the war for talent in today's mobile market.
"The rise of mobile usage by job seekers presents a new set of challenges for our customers," said iCIMS Chief Marketing Officer Susan Vitale. "According to a recent Glassdoor survey, one in four candidates would not apply to a job if a company's career site was not mobile optimized. Having a mobile presence today is absolutely necessary for an organization to be perceived as progressive and forward-thinking in order to attract top talent. We're thrilled to address this for our customers – ensuring they are armed with the best tools to strategically drive their talent acquisition efforts," concluded Vitale.
