Ice Mountain, the brand that prides itself on being one of the favorite regional bottled spring waters of Midwesterners, has supported various running events for more than 20 years, including the upcoming XSport Fitness Rock 'n' Roll Chicago Half Marathon on July 22. Along with Ice Mountain Natural Spring Water, Josh Cox will be at the 2012 Health & Fitness Expo on July 20 and 21 at McCormick Place, just minutes from downtown Chicago. Cox, the American record holder in the 50K, four-time Olympic Trials qualifier and three-time U.S. National Team member, will be at the Ice Mountain booth sharing hydration tips and expert training advice. Specifically, he will offer his advice about personal training regiments, the importance of staying hydrated and injury prevention – inspiring Chicago runners on their journey to betterment.
On Saturday morning, July 21, Josh will take a group of local Chicago runners from the Chicago Area Runners Association on their final training run before Sunday's race. "I'm excited to be a part of their final training session and to arm them with the tools and knowledge to hopefully run their best race yet," says Cox. "One of the biggest factors to their success will be hydration – water consumption is essential to all athletes and, when I'm in Chicago, Ice Mountain is an important part of my own training routine."
