LOS ANGELES, Nov. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Motor Company hosted a unique event named 'STYLE NITE' on the eve of its new 2020 flagship SUV Palisade's world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 28. The event was hosted by renowned celebrity stylist Ty Hunter, bringing together fashion, music and automotive design.
Style Nite was the creative approach from Hyundai to connect with the young and trend focused audience by teaming up with key figures in the fashion industry.
Ty Hunter, American celebrity stylist best known for his work with Beyonce, Kim Kardashian and Serena Williams, and Korean star designer YounHee Park of GREEDILOUS created a unique collection of 20 looks inspired by the Palisade, incorporating the company's logo and other playful hints of the new SUV using unique prints and shapes. The collaboration was presented by fashion models through runway performance in midst of STYLE NITE.
The new SUV will convey a bold exterior that commands attention and has strong inherent imagery of safety and security, especially important with parents with growing families and active lifestyles. Palisade styling will offer dignity with style in an understated theme that demonstrates clear differentiation worthy of a flagship SUV.
"I felt really honored to have a global brand like Hyundai Motor supporting our creativity and working together to reach a new generation of customers with this product," says Ty Hunter, official host of STYLE NITE. "Through this event, we captured the youthful culture that Hyundai pursues."
The event took place on Tuesday, November 27, at a private member's club in West Hollywood and featured other special guests such as the popular South-Korean DJ Raiden, who has performed worldwide at major EDM festivals including Ultra Music Festival and Tomorrowland, and during the closing ceremony of Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in Seoul. Other celebrity attendees were such as a fashion model Sofia Richie, a daughter of global pop star Lionel Richie, with 4M Instagram followers, Erika Jayne, a famous American pop star, and Suede Brooks, a fashion influencer with 77K followers on Instagram. Also global boyband BTS have been confirmed to be the global brand ambassadors of Hyundai Palisade.
"Today's consumers tend to avoid traditional ways of advertising and marketing activities, it's all about the experience," says WonHong Cho, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Hyundai Motor Company. "There is no better way to build an authentic connection with customers than through culture; music and fashion in particular. We are planning to get closer with customers through interesting cultural events, starting with STYLE NITE."
