HYPE Sports Innovation is a global platform which facilitates connections and investments among sports technology startups, brands, academies and investors who are eager to inject smart money into the rapidly growing domain.
The survey answered the following urgent questions: What are the hottest sports in terms of growth and innovation? What are the innovation / technology segments that will be most impactful on sports?
Armed with answers from more than 400 respondents, the survey identified definitive correlations between a variety of sports sectors and various innovation segments.
The survey is well-timed as the sports ecosystem is experiencing what might well be called a "perfect storm." There exists a widespread and urgent need to innovate and adopt new technologies to create new and disruptive business models that can successfully monetize rapidly evolving consumer preferences. The Global Sports Innovation Survey identifies which sports appear poised for success, and which ones are expected to face a struggle. The survey results provide four main conclusions that can provide brands, investors and startups actionable information with which to make key strategic decisions.
"The entire sports ecosystem is undergoing a remarkable technology and innovation renaissance over the past several years," said Dr. Ilan Hadar, partner and Chief Innovation Officer at HYPE Sports Innovation. "Positioned at the intersection of this ecosystem and connected to its main players including startups, investors, brands and academies, we believe the valuable results in this survey will not only support high-return investments in sports innovations, but also create a meaningful impact across the entire field of sports."
"EY has been supporting startups, brands and investors in the sports innovation space all around the world," added Oren Baron, Senior Partner at EY Israel. "We are happy to join forces with HYPE Sports Innovation to further shape the path toward which this fascinating industry is heading."
