Humantech Wins Premier Awards Contest For Eighth Time
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Sept. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Humantech, Inc., a VelocityEHS company, announced today that it was recognized as one of "Metropolitan Detroit's Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®" at the Michigan Business and Professional Association (MBPA) awards ceremony on Friday, September 21st. Only companies that distinguish themselves as having the most innovative and thoughtful human resources approach can be bestowed this honor. This is the eighth year Humantech has received this recognition.
Organizations are assessed based on categories such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention and more. One objective of the program is to not only improve the workplace for the employees but to raise the benchmark for company practices. To be considered, companies submit a questionnaire about their human resource practices. Employees are also asked to complete a questionnaire about what it's like to work there.
Once the surveys are complete, an independent research firm evaluates each company's entry based on key measures in various categories: compensation; benefits and employee solutions; employee enrichment, engagement and retention; education and development; recruitment, selection and orientation; employee achievement and recognition; communication and shared vision; diversity and inclusion; work-life balance; community initiatives; strategic company performance; and, the best of the best small, medium, and large businesses.
