ANN ARBOR, Mich., Aug. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Humantech, workplace improvement experts, announced that it has, for the fifth year, been recognized as one of "Metropolitan Detroit's Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®". The competition honors organizations that deliver exceptional human resource practices and are impressively committed to their employees. An awards ceremony will be hosted by the Michigan Business and Professional Association (MBPA) on Friday, September 23rd at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center.
Organizations are assessed based on categories such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention and more. One objective of the program is to not only improve the workplace for the employees but to raise the benchmark for company practices. To be considered, companies complete a questionnaire about its human resource practices and employees complete a questionnaire about what it's like to work there.
Once the surveys are complete, an independent research firm evaluates the entry based on key measures in various categories: compensation; benefits and employee solutions; employee enrichment, engagement and retention; employee education and development; recruitment, selection and orientation; employee achievement and recognition; communication and shared vision; diversity and inclusion; work-life balance; community initiatives; strategic company performance; and, the best of the best small business.
"We are honored to recognize the efforts of this year's 'Best and Brightest' companies. These companies have created impressive organizational value and business results through their policies in human resource management. This award has become a designation sought after by hundreds of Metropolitan Detroit area companies," says Jennifer Kluge, President and CEO of MBPA.
"We're indeed pleased to be recognized for the fifth year for the success of our programs, policies and culture in creating an effective and flexible workplace. However, what makes this honor very special is that our employees have confirmed this finding," says Humantech President, James Good.
This program celebrates companies that are making business better, creating richer lives and building a stronger community. It is presented annually in several markets including Detroit, Atlanta, Boston, among others.
