Hortonworks Certifies EDB Postgres Advanced Server

Combining EDB Postgres with HDP provides organizations with new capabilities to integrate existing data management systems with data in Hadoop clusters for greater analysis and actionable insights.

EDB's Hadoop Data Adapter for EDB Postgres Advanced Server brings the ability to combine data in traditional corporate systems with big data from multiple data sources stored in Hadoop installations. • The Foreign Data Wrapper for Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS_FDW), developed by EDB, is a data adapter for EDB Postgres and is available on GitHub. FDWs are a feature for connecting external data stores to Postgres and enable applications to query this data with SQL as if it were native Postgres data.
