SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Hornet, the world's premier gay social network, today announced the expansion of its sales and marketing team. Award-winning media executive Josh Rosenzweig will join Hornet as director of marketing, while Jillian Rendace and Sam Sim Morgan will spearhead U.S. sales on the east and west coasts, respectively. All will work directly with Hornet senior vice president of global sales, Matthew Adam Smith, to create and capitalize on the brand's revenue driven marketing initiatives.
"As we begin the new year, we're thrilled to expand our sales and marketing team to meet the large and growing advertiser demand for our community and cutting-edge technology," said Hornet SVP of Global Sales, Matthew Adam Smith. "The diverse expertise that Josh, Jillian and Sam bring is a differentiator in Hornet's ability to deliver the innovative, effective solutions that our brand partners demand."
Rosenzweig has held executive positions in marketing and content at ICTV's The Flying Tent, in special projects and supervising production at Viacom, and, over the span of 10 years, led original programming, integrated marketing as well as acquisition and business development for Here Media. Following Here Media's acquisition of OUT and The Advocate in 2008, Rosenzweig created the company's first Integrated Marketing Department, where he developed customized, multi-platform programs for clients such as AT&T, Johnson & Johnson, Wells Fargo and more, for which he won the prestigious GLAAD Media Award in advertising. As a seasoned media executive specializing in branding, consumer and integrated marketing, he will work with the sales team to create innovative and strategic partnerships and execute advertising and marketing campaigns for Hornet partners and advertising clients to reach targeted demographics.
After holding director positions at several global advertising agencies and at Conde Nast, Jillian Rendace will serve as the Director of Sales and Partnerships for the east coast and based out of New York. With a deep understanding of the LGBTQ audience from her previous work at Pride Media as well as Participant Media, Viacom and AMC Networks, Sam Sim Morgan will hold the Director of Sales and Partnerships position in Los Angeles for the west coast. Rendace and Morgan will expand the brand's presence through key collaborations in their respective divisions.
"I look forward to joining the Hornet team and continuing to build the brand's presence," said Rosenzweig. "We will find new and innovative ways to amplify Hornet's robust platform in the marketplace and foster impactful partnerships in order to develop successful initiatives."
