Homeland's Customers Can Now Save Time and Money by Paying with Their Smartphones via DoubleBeam's eChecks
New app makes it easier for Homeland shoppers to pay and allows them to earn bonus fuel rewards.
OKLAHOMA CITY, June 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Homeland Stores has launched their new iPhone and Android mobile applications, which allows their customers to save time and money by using their smartphones to pay for their groceries.
Customers can download the Homeland SwiftScan app for free, sign up for mobile payments and start using their smartphones to grocery shop. Customers will be able to locate stores, see weekly specials, create shopping lists, receive exclusive discounts and pay at the checkout directly from their smartphone via a link to their checking account. For now the app will work at all Edmond and Norman locations with additional stores coming on board soon.
As an added introductory reward, customers who pay with their phones will also earn $0.20 per gallon off the price of gas at any participating Homeland or Shell Gas Station. Homeland customers will qualify for the discount each time they use their phone to pay for at least $25 worth of groceries in participating stores and provide their One Card at the time of purchase.
Developed in partnership with DoubleBeam – a mobile payments company based in Pasadena, California – the app will also enhance Homeland Stores marketing abilities and customer experience. Customers will receive special offers based on purchase history and also enjoy a quick 2-step check out process. Customers will simply scan a QR code at the register and then select to pay with their smartphone once the cashier has completed scanning the items. Customers should see major time and money savings with this new mobile application.
Darryl Fitzgerald, President and CEO, Homeland Stores commented "Homeland Stores is committed to being at the forefront of fulfilling our customers' needs. The mobile app will save our customers time and money each time they use the new Homeland app."
Ted Tekippe, CEO of DoubleBeam added, "We are very proud to partner with Homeland and deliver such value to their customers. As more and more people use smartphones in their everyday lives, the opportunity to deliver savings and convenience in the grocery shopping experience has become a reality."
