Rally Team of Automotive Editors to Run in Charity Event in a 2010 Camaro and Produce Live Social Media Coverage From the Road
PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- High Gear Media, a premium vertical content company publishing more automotive content than anyone on the Web announced today that they will be competing in the 2010 Fireball Run, a transcontinental adventure rally race. The event, which begins September 23, has teams competing for points in driving challenges across the country while helping to locate missing and abducted children.
Competing as Team High Gear Media will be three members of the Company's expert editorial team: Nelson Ireson, Tim Healey and Joel Feder. The team will be sponsored by Chevrolet and will drive a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS for the nine-day, 3,500-mile adventure. The team will depart Henderson, Nevada on September 23rd and arrive in Galena, Illinois, on October 2nd.

Each Fireball Run team represents a missing child identified by the Race to Recover America's Missing Children, a campaign for the Klaas Kids Foundation. During the eight day adventure and competition, teams will distribute 1,000 posters along the entire 3,500 mile route of the rally, which journeys through 18 cities and nine states. To date, the Fireball Run has contributed to the recovery of 35 missing children. High Gear Media's team, sponsored by Chevrolet, will race for Jade Flores, a 4-year-old girl who has been missing since July, 2008.
