Technical presentations will demonstrate Henkel's advances in product technology
MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich., April 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Henkel technical experts will deliver technical sessions on the latest advances within the automotive industry. Henkel presentations will feature the environmental advantages of zirconium oxide conversion coatings; the energy efficient, twostep Aquence® Co-Cure coating process that simplifies paint shop operations; as well as the advances in metal stamping lubricant performance testing.

Henkel technical sessions in the areas of environmental sustainability and process efficiency,
include:
- New Metal Pretreatment Technology, Tuesday, April 13 at 1:20 p.m., Room D0-04C — Henkel experts will examine the advantages of a new generation conversion coating based on zirconium oxide and its performance and environmental advantages compared to the traditional zinc phosphate process.
- Co-Cure Process: Autodeposition Primer and Powder Topcoat, Tuesday, April 13 at 3:00 p.m., Room D0-04C — Henkel experts will deliver information on autodeposition chemistry, process sequence, and deposition mechanism. In addition will describe the revolutionary Aquence® Co-Cure coating process, that saves energy and costs by layering Aquence® autodeposition coating with a topcoat and or adhesive and co-curing them together in a single oven. The performance and simplicity advantages of the Co-Cure process, as well as commercial applications will also be examined.
- Improved Metal Stamping Lubricant Testing Using Controlled Formed Panels, Thursday, April 15 at 10:40 a.m., Room D0-07A — Henkel experts will evaluate the differences in results between stamped and unstamped (flat) panels on a variety of common stamping lubricant acceptance tests, using existing approved stamping lubricants. The value of using a standard stamped part for lubricant, cleaner, and coating development will be described. The importance of real-world process simulation will also be reviewed in the context of coating failures.
