Heffernan Welcomes Ed Nokes as Senior Vice President of Orange Office

ORANGE, Calif., March 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Heffernan Insurance Brokers, one of the largest full-service, independent insurance brokerage firms in the United States, has hired Ed Nokes to lead its Orange, California office. As Senior Vice President and Branch Manager of the Orange operations, Nokes will be responsible for developing new business in Southern California.

An industry veteran, Nokes joins Heffernan after an extensive career. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1975, and spent two years as a CPA for a public accounting firm. He then moved to a national furniture manufacturer where he rose to the CFO position.   In 1986, Nokes joined Willis as a divisional CFO. He later became COO for the Western United States. In 2005, he started ABD Insurance property & casualty in San Diego. Nokes then became Western Regional Sales Director at Venbrook Group.
