The company was recognized for its continued support and commitment to the community and its business accomplishments.

In addition to the award, a celebratory roast event was held for community icon Hannah Brown who introduced the Hannah Brown Community Development Corporation (HBCDC), a non profit organization whose mission is to support economic development and education initiatives. Following the presentation, Harrah's presented HBCDC with $25,000 to support the non profit's initiatives.
The Urban Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Gala was the setting for tributes and accolades to local companies and individuals for their accomplishments in business. Honors at the event included, "Micro Business of the Year," "Small Business of the Year," "Large Business of the Year," "Presidents Award" and for the first time the "Corporation of the Year" award.
