Hamilton Federal Bank Names Vitamin Agency of Record
BALTIMORE, Sept. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Hamilton Federal Bank, a 96-year-old community bank headquartered in Towson, Md., has named Vitamin® its agency of record. Vitamin will lead the bank's rebranding initiative, including the development of its new brand messaging, identity redesign, marketing collateral, signage, web site, media relations, social media strategy, and advertising. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1915, and headquartered in Towson, Md., Hamilton Federal Bank is a community bank with more than $330 million in assets and $32 million in regulatory capital. The bank offers business and consumer banking services and employs more than 50 people across five retail branch locations, serving the communities of Cockeysville, Pasadena, Towson, and Baltimore (Overlea and Hamilton) in Maryland.
Robert DeAlmeida, president and CEO of Hamilton Federal Bank said, "As Hamilton Federal Bank nears our 100th anniversary, we needed an agency partner to help revitalize our brand. We were looking for a long-term partner that could support our expansion into new markets, and who had a proven track record in re-positioning and re-launching traditional, established brands. We are confident in our partnership with Vitamin, as they have had many successful brand launches for clients. They will be an important asset in unifying our brand and spreading the word among the communities we serve."
The rebranding initiative comes during a period of significant growth for Hamilton. Over the past two years, the bank has launched retail and small business banking services. Hamilton has also experienced an employee growth rate of 30 percent, and opened a fifth branch in Pasadena, Md. in December 2009. In July of this year, the bank relocated its headquarters to Towson, Md. in order to accommodate for its continued growth.
"Vitamin is excited to support Hamilton Federal Bank from a branding and PR standpoint, as the bank continues to expand and strengthen its position in the community banking market," said Amanda Karfakis, president and CEO of Vitamin. "The development of the bank's new image, in conjunction with an integrated marketing-communications initiative will help Hamilton become more visible to diverse business and consumer audiences. We are eager to build a smart, sound, and aggressive strategy that will give a big boost to the bank's visibility throughout Greater Baltimore."
