GroundTruth Earns Recertification Against Fraud from the Trustworthy Accountability Group
TAG Certified Against Fraud Seal Demonstrates GroundTruth's Leadership and Commitment to Promoting a Safe and Fraud-Free Advertising Ecosystem
NEW YORK, March 19, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- GroundTruth, the leading global location technology company for driving visits, announced today that the Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG) has recertified the company for the TAG Certified Against Fraud Seal. For the second annual year, the certification demonstrates that GroundTruth has achieved the stringent requirements set by TAG through its Certified Against Fraud Guidelines designed to combat fraudulent traffic across the digital advertising supply chain.
According to Juniper Research, in 2019 the online advertising industry faced a stunning $42 billion loss due to ad fraud. In response to this growing criminal activity, the application of a holistic approach to combating ad fraud across multiple channels has become more prominent. GroundTruth's TAG Certified Against Fraud Seal is a continued step in the company's ongoing commitment to providing transparent, precise, and accurate solutions to its partners.
"At GroundTruth, we strive to implement aggressive efforts in fighting fraud to ensure the strength and resilience of our solutions," said Sunil Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, GroundTruth. "TAG certification reinforces our commitment to promote accountability and prioritize safety for our entire customer base with timely and relevant offers and promotions."
The TAG certification applies to all GroundTruth solutions and meets the program's rigorous standards which are strengthened each year to meet new and emerging threats. GroundTruth's flagship solution, the self-service Ads Manager platform, grants businesses of all sizes easier access to advanced geotargeting platform tools and resources. Ads Manager also provides a more precise and accurate level of location targeting, made possible through GroundTruth's mapping technology, Blueprints and patented Location Verification algorithm, which scrubs incoming location data for accuracy.
"Despite the significant steps made by our industry in fighting ad fraud, we also are seeing increasing sophistication and quickly evolving threats that require even closer collaboration," said Mike Zaneis, CEO of TAG. "GroundTruth has been a leader in adopting and promoting rigorous standards to fight fraud, and we commend them for achieving the TAG Certified Against Fraud Seal for the second year in a row. We look forward to continuing to work with GroundTruth to prevent fraudulent activity across the digital advertising supply chain."
TAG launched its Certified Against Fraud program in 2016 to combat invalid traffic in the digital advertising supply chain. The TAG Anti-Fraud Working Group developed and maintains the Certified Against Fraud Guidelines, as well as a suite of anti-fraud tools to aid in compliance with those guidelines.
