Governor Corbett Names Ann Dugan to Pittsburgh's Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority
HARRISBURG, Pa., April 20, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett today named Ann Dugan to the Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority, or ICA. Formed by the General Assembly in 2004, the ICA supports the City of Pittsburgh's efforts to reach sustainable financial stability.
"As a leader in community and economic development, Ann Dugan will be a vital asset to the ICA's essential work," Corbett said.
Dugan is the founder and assistant dean of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence, part of the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. The institute has helped start more than 1,000 businesses, raised $250 million in capital and provided educational programs to 25,000 business leaders.
As a board member of the Redevelopment Authority of Washington County for more than a decade, Dugan helped to guide more than $28 million annually in county infrastructure development.
Dugan has earned various awards, serves on a number of boards and has contributed to numerous national publications. She holds bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. She lives in Canonsburg, Washington County.
