Since Bachmann entered the 2012 Republican presidential contest she has led her fellow candidates in Iowa polls. She has publicly spoken out against raising the national debt ceiling calling it a "sign of leadership failure" and has so far, stayed away from the "Cut, Cap, Balance" pledge of others in her party. Bachmann is a Tea Party favorite and continues to grow in popularity among Republicans.
