AUSTIN, Texas and SAN FRANCISCO, March 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Gone!, the mobile app for effortless online selling, today announced the introduction of Gone! Lite – enabling anyone, anywhere to sell items by shipping them to Gone! through a newly announced shipping service partnership. Gone! also unveiled significant upgrades to the app including email integration with Slice, and the ability to receive Amazon.com Gift Cards* as a payment option.
Launched just six months ago, Gone! takes all the work out of selling items for the best price. Available on iOS and coming soon to Android, Gone! users can either upload photos and videos, or use the new Gone! discovery function to list items for sale. Users have the option to pair their email account with Slice, which monitors purchase history through email receipts, and keeps tabs on the changing market value of recently purchased items. After writing a brief description and uploading all information via the app, Gone! pricing experts will send an offer for the item in a matter of minutes. If the seller agrees to the price, they will select either Gone! On-Demand or Gone! Lite as their method for shipping.
With Gone! On-Demand, a Gone! representative will stop by the user's home to pick up the item. Gone! On-Demand is currently available in Austin and San Francisco, and will soon be available in New York City and Seattle. Launched today, Gone! Lite enables users anywhere to package up their items using a prepaid Gone! shipping box, schedule a shipping pickup or drop the item off at their nearest shipping location.
"Gone! On-Demand is currently available in Austin and San Francisco but, now with the announcement of Gone! Lite, users anywhere can easily sell their items by shipping them to Gone! through our shipping service partnership," said Gone! CEO and co-founder Nicolas Bayerque. "We'll either cut users a check or they can even redeem their sales credit for Amazon.com Gift Cards. Getting rid of old items has never been easier. Gone! On-Demand and Gone! Lite take the hassle out of selling items, and can now be used nationwide."
Once a buyer acknowledges receipt of the product, Gone! will deposit the credit into the seller's account, cash out the credit by sending the user a check within 3-4 business days, or facilitate redeeming sales credit in the form of Amazon.com Gift Cards.
Gone! recently participated in Commerce.Innovated™, an accelerator jointly run by Silicon Valley Bank and MasterCard which leveraged expertise and relationships to provide Gone! with the resources and support to accelerate their growth and success.
