GOLDTOEMORETZ Teams Up with CareerGear to Help Change Men's Lives
Brand donates $10,000 and products from men's sock and underwear line
NEW YORK, Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of the launch of the NEW GOLDTOE™ Men's Underwear Line, GoldToeMoretz is partnering with CareerGear as a corporate sponsor to help men make a positive change in their lives. At the "Gear Up For Change" event held in New York City on September, 16, GoldToeMoretz donated $10,000 to CareerGear and also donated sock and underwear products to match donations received at the event.
"We felt as though CareerGear was a perfect charity for GoldToeMoretz to partner with," said Steve Lineberger, CEO of GoldToeMoretz. "It's been great to be able to help supply men with the things they need to start a successful career – from career counseling to interview attire, CareerGear is there every step of the way and we wanted to support them."
Former NFL All-Pro player, Marcellus Wiley and renowned actor, Isiah Whitlock Jr., were in attendance at the event to show their support to Career Gear and help collect donations. The men signed autographs, participated in the sports-themed games and posed for photos with fans.
"We are thrilled to have GoldToeMoretz as a major corporate partner and an example of effective corporate philanthropy," said John Sanful, Executive Director of CareerGear. "Through their efforts, GoldToeMoretz has demonstrated a commitment to help men change not only their lives, but the lives of their families."
To get the word out about the event, models wearing only GOLDTOE™ Men's Underwear took to the streets of Manhattan to interact with tourists, perform stunts such as break-dancing and hula hooping, and hand out invitations to the event at Herald Square Park. Prominent statues in the city, including the Wall Street Bull and Balto, were also dressed in GOLDTOE™ underwear to introduce the brand's new addition to their product line.
"We've been a category leader in the sock industry for over eight decades, but underwear is something that's completely new for us," said Trish McHale, Head of Marketing for GoldToeMoretz. "We knew we had to do something different in order to get noticed and to persuade men to make the change to GOLDTOE™."
The brand also launched a social media campaign to encourage consumers to engage in conversation with the brand. From conversations about wearing socks with sandals to instant uploads from the Manhattan event, GoldToeMoretz plans to fully leverage their social media channels to keep the discussion going.
