Genovese Pledges $10,000 To Muskoka Steamship & Historical Society Restoration Campaign
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, Sept. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- A longtime supporter and restorer of some of Canada's most historic boats, Bobby Genovese has pledged $10,000 in support of the Muskoka Steamship & Historical Society's RMS Segwun Wheelhouse Restoration Campaign.
The recently announced $125,000 Campaign has raised over $70,000 from the Board and senior management of the Society.
"It is my hope that the members of the Society and Muskoka residents and cottagers will join me in supporting this necessary restoration," said Genovese who has supported the Muskoka Steamship & Historical Society since 2006. He is the owner of Miss Canada III, Miss Canada IV, Rambler and Miss Miami V. "These great classics deserved a second "restored" chance, as does the wheelhouse of RMS Segwun," said Genovese.
Built in 1887, the Segwun is North America's oldest operating steamship, which services passengers from May through October along Muskoka's Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph.
