General Hifter Encouraged by Outpouring of Support Across Libya

"The widespread demonstrations by citizens of Libya with a vested interest in creating stability across their country was an encouraging sign from these brave men, women and children seeking to take control of their future. The Libyan people realize that a government structure focused on the future of the country, its tribes, citizens, institutions, economy, etc. does not exist at this time. The desire for stability in the country, leading to a future of long-term governance and economic strength, will enable Libya to lead in the region and global stage as well. Unfortunately, the Seraj government (GNA) does not provide a path for the future for all Libyans, and has shown its inability to eradicate jihadists, destabilizing outside forces, as well as the slave trade (part of which is taking place in the territory under their control).

General Hifter has actively been working to create stability and a long-term vision for the future of Libya, and fully intends to support a representative government to lead the country. He has been able to express this throughout the African Union, European Union (via direct dialogue with President Macron, many Ministers in Italy, Germany, etc.), and in a variety of other countries as well. He has also developed the trust of many Arab countries, as well as the U.S., as a partner working to eradicate terrorists. The LNA, under the leadership of General Hifter, is encouraged by the outpouring of support across Libya from these brave and peaceful demonstrators. They will continue to work extensively to create the best future for the Libyan people and the country they reside in.
