GDS International Brings Together Top Oil and Gas Executives for its NG O&G Summit in February
BRISTOL, England, January 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
On 7-9 February 2012, the Barton Creek Resort and Spa in Texas will be host to a 65-strong consortium of CEOs and Senior Corporate Officers from small, mid and large cap oil and gas producers attending the latest Next Generation Oil and Gas Summit (NGO&G). Positioned at the very pinnacle of their industry, this year's Summit promises to be the most well respected and best-attended event for the Oil and Gas industry in the US during 2012.
Top C-level executives will be present to discuss cutting-edge business challenges, ranging from the recent explosions in the GOM that have resulted in a big focus on HSE, through to subsea solutions, new drilling technologies and data management solutions to name but a few.
The summit combines high-level roundtable discussions with next generation technology solutions that, together with the VP of NGO&G, William Doll, have been championed by the Summits very own Advisory Board - The O&G20 - held at the Hustonian on August 5th, 2011.
Included within the Summit's senior executive delegation are Richard Spies, COO of BPZ Energy; Gerald Lond, SVP for Operations and Drilling at Opal Resources; Keith Larson, CEO of US Energy Corp; Cecil Colwell, SVP of Worldwide Drilling at Forest Oil; Steve McLaurin, CIO for Denbury Resources; and Kent Adams, VP of Drilling for Bass Petroleum.
Bob Welch, President for Chemical, Energy and Natural Resources at CSC, who attended the previous Summit at the Loews Hotel in New Orleans last year, had this to say: "The structure of this event was very useful. The one on one meetings were great. We came here to test some ideas and this format worked extremely well." Conflating this, Jay Smith, GM of Engineering and Construction at Shell, said: "I talked to a company that has a technology that I had no idea even existed. It could be a game changer for some of the projects we're doing."
The event has been designed specifically for forward-thinking C-level executives in the US Oil & Gas arena, drawing on experiences and discussing the challenges facing the sector. The NGO&G Summit will offer comprehensive workshops, panel discussions on major industry issues, and one-to-one meetings to give delegates the opportunity to meet with business analysts and solution providers to discuss strategy and technology demands in a rapidly evolving business climate.
William Doll, Summit Director for NGO&G US, believes the high calibre of speakers and exceptional content, combined with excellent opportunities for networking, give the delegates and sponsors true value for money and a significant return on their investment.
"This year's NGO&G Summit will serve, once again, as the arena for senior executives in the US oil and gas industry to engage in uninterrupted and focused dialogue with their peers to examine their technology and management objectives in an overtly relaxed yet vibrant environment," he said.
