HOUSTON, May 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA, one of the largest competitive market retail electricity providers to commercial, industrial and institutional customers in the country, has secured a new multi-year contract to provide power to Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies.

GDF SUEZ Energy Resources first was awarded a two-year agreement in 2011 based on its ability to meet a number of specific price and product requirements. Phillies' officials said the company's commitment to building customized solutions – combined with its reputation for providing customers with the knowledge they need to make the most informed choices possible – played a pivotal role in its decision to renew the service agreement.
"GDF SUEZ Energy Resources has really taken the time to understand our business and what we need from a retail electricity provider," said David Buck, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Advertising Sales, for the Phillies. "Their customer service is unmatched, and they go above and beyond to help us employ the right strategy for our business. We have a strong relationship with them, and we appreciate the value they bring to our organization."
Sam Henry, CEO of GDF SUEZ Energy Resources, said, "We're honored to be selected once again as the power provider to the Philadelphia Phillies. We take great pride in working closely with our customers to help them build the right energy management strategies for their businesses, and this new agreement is a reflection of that commitment. We're thankful to continue serving them."
