Gary Bauer to Address the Implications of "the tragic death of America's Martyr, Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, who lost his life as a consequence of naive foreign policies"
WASHINGTON, Sept. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- During his Friday address to the Values Voter Summit and through a Saturday panel discussion, former presidential candidate Gary Bauer will discuss the crisis state of Middle East affairs "under the disastrous course of appeasement and miscalculation that has marked America's recent approach to foreign policy."
The president of American Values and long-time expert and advocate for a strong partnership between the U.S. and Israel, Bauer noted that "the Arab Spring is yielding bitter fruit. On Sept. 11, 2012, Islamic extremists felt empowered to act against the United States and took the life of an American patriot, U.S. ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens and three other embassy staff, despite U.S. taxpayer monies that were expended to free Libya from the Gaddafi regime and despite the constant apologies for U.S. ideals and freedoms."
MEDIA NOTE: Bauer will address the Value Voter Summit audience at the Omni Shoreham Hotel on Friday, Sept. 14th, during the afternoon events. For more information go to: http://www.valuesvotersummit.org.
Credentialed media may register to attend.
On Saturday, Sept. 15, during a 3:15 p.m. Breakout Session, Bauer will sponsor a panel addressing the forces behind the headlines. The topic: Understanding Radical Islam 101.
Three prestigious panelists will make remarks and be available to the media.
They are:
- Nonie Darwish, founder of Arabs for Israel, author, and nationally recognized expert on Middle Eastern Affairs.
- Erick Stakebeck, a correspondent and terrorism analyst for CBN News, well-known author, guest speaker and analyst.
- Frank Gaffney, Founder, President and CEO of the Center for Security Policy, well-known author and radio talk-show host.
