GAME Hatches Giant Quacky

CINCINNATI, Aug. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- GAME (Great American Merchandise and Events) an international organization committed to philanthropy has hatched Giant Quacky, the world's largest inflatable yellow duck. Quacky made his debut on the Ohio River today (65 feet and 1100 pounds). His home until September 1, 2013 is near The Purple People Bridge and Newport on the Levy.

Giant Quacky's visit to the area, his first American stop, was inspired by the work of the Freestore Foodbank who has held the Rubber Duck Regatta for 19 years. The Rubber Duck Regatta is their largest fundraising event, helping the organization fight hunger and bringing hope to those in need.

"GAME has successfully launched duck races in over 100 communities. Our hope is that Giant Quacky will inspire more individuals to donate and communities around the world to become further involved," Eric Schechter, GAME President said.

This year's Rubber Duck Regatta will release as many as 200,000 Derby Ducks off the Purple People Bridge on September 1, 2013 and is anticipated to raise $1,000,000 net with a lifetime goal for the Freestore Foodbank of over $7.6 MM.
