Frito-Lay 2 Go Variety Pack Partners With The Association Of Science-Technology Centers To Jump Start Spring Discovery
Snacks Encourage Even More Fun and Learning for Young Students
PLANO, Texas, April 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- As the snack that can literally go anywhere, Frito-Lay 2 Go Variety Packs are taking families from the depths of the ocean to the furthest visible star through their new partnership with the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) this spring. Starting this week through June 5, families can receive a free kid's pass to participating ASTC member science centers and museums nationwide with the purchase of a Frito-Lay 2 Go Variety Pack.
"It's important for kids to be active, to explore science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), and to make their own discoveries," said Anthony Rock, ASTC president and CEO. "We're excited to partner with Frito-Lay 2 Go Variety Packs to encourage families to visit their local ASTC member science centers and museums to discover, learn and be excited about STEM outside the classroom."
Families should look for the Frito-Lay 2 Go pack that features an astronaut, robot or dinosaur. By visiting their local ASTC science centers and museums, families will have the opportunity to unlock a world of mystery and exploration through interactive and inspiring opportunities to learn, create and do.
ASTC institutions are active in their communities as key providers of science education and inspiration that complements local schools, and other out-of-school activities.
Since the cost of transportation can prevent children from experiencing science centers and museums firsthand, Frito-Lay and ASTC have partnered to make them even more accessible in communities across the United States. Through a generous donation from Frito-Lay, ASTC has launched a new Fund-A-Bus initiative to help support transportation expenses so that young people have more opportunities to visit science centers and museums.
"From the sea to the galaxies, STEM is everywhere and our partnership with ASTC allows us to expose more of today's youth to the wonders of STEM innovations," said Jeff Klein, vice president of marketing, Frito-Lay North America. "With Frito-Lay 2 Go Variety Packs being a family-fun snack that can go on an adventure to just about anywhere, it's the perfect partnership to encourage exploration for the whole family."
Frito-Lay 2 Go Variety Pack features pre-portioned, single servings of everyone's favorite Frito-Lay snacks, including: Cheetos cheese flavored snacks, Doritos tortilla chips, Fritos corn snacks, Funyun's onion flavored rings, Lay's potato chips, Rold Gold pretzels, Smartfood popcorn and SunChips multigrain snacks. The variety packs are available at retail stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $8.99.
