Free Fermentation Monitor If Pico Model C Becomes the Most Successful Food Kickstarter Campaign Ever
PicoBrew Offers Final Stretch Goal to Take Hugely Successful Pico Model C Campaign to $1.812M, Rewards Backers with World's Smartest Web-Connected Fermentation Monitor
SEATTLE, May 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- PicoBrew, manufacturer of the world's first line of automatic craft beer brewing appliances, today announced PicoFerm™, the world's smartest web-connected fermentation monitor, and a final stretch goal for their wildly successful Pico Model C Kickstarter campaign. If the campaign reaches $1.812M in funding in the remaining 10 days of the project, all backers pledging $250 or more will receive the new PicoFerm for free, and all backers will gain bragging rights as supporters of the most successful food Kickstarter campaign ever. The campaign has already raised more than $1.4M in just four weeks and is currently the #1 live campaign on Kickstarter.
"First-time brewers and seasoned brewers alike are going to love PicoFerm because it takes the guesswork out of fermentation and gives you the information you need to control what's happening in your keg," said Dr. Bill Mitchell, PicoBrew's CEO. "It's just another way we're helping our customers become expert craft beer brewers so that they get the best results possible whenever they brew."
PicoFerm is a web-connected fermentation monitor that makes the process of monitoring a beer's fermentation progress as simple as opening an app on your phone. Using patent-pending technology, PicoFerm monitors the fermenting beers pressure and temperature and sends a precise forecast of when the beer will be ready to drink to the free BrewPulse app. It will also send tips on how to improve fermentation to the app, such as suggesting temperature changes to speed up the fermentation process, and will warn you if it detects any problems.
The sleek round monitor snaps on to the top of the Pico Model C Keg. There are no wires to connect and nothing to clean or sterilize because PicoFerm doesn't ever touch the beer. Brewers just switch it on when they are ready to ferment and sync it with the app.
"It's always exciting to hear about new and innovative products PicoBrew releases. Their new PicoFerm answers a question that pops up regularly with new brewers: being able to tell when their beer is done fermenting," said Barry Chan, Brewmaster at Lucky Envelope Brewing in Seattle, WA.
PicoFerm will retail for $89 USD when it hits stores in the Fall, but Kickstarter backers who pledge at least $250 will receive one for free, assuming PicoBrew hits their Stretch Goal target. PicoBrew's Kickstarter campaign has only 10 days remaining.
Dr. Mitchell added, "We continue to be blown away by the support of the Kickstarter community. Nothing would make us happier than sharing the title of 'Most Successful Food Kickstarter Campaign Ever' with every awesome backer of our Pico Model C."
