The design of the Centennial sink series evokes the shape of fine sterling service pieces passed from generation to generation, yet offers the modern conveniences desired in today's traditional luxury kitchens. As the first Franke sink conceptually designed in the United States and manufactured in Switzerland, Centennial beautifully combines European craftsmanship with American sensibilities.
"Traditional style and decor resonates with the U.S. market," said Steffen Koury, director of product development at Motiv. "Taking the sink a step beyond functionality, the Centennial offers an aesthetic style that complements the carefully curated, traditionally designed kitchen."
Crafted of 18-gauge stainless steel with soft, smooth edges and elegant side curves, the Centennial's traditional D-bowl shape tapers elegantly to allow the widest part of the bowl to face the user. Available in three sizes, Centennial sinks work equally well as a primary sink or in a bar or prep area.
With optional custom-fitted accessories, the Centennial sink goes beyond elegant design to become the ultimate in usability. The sink supports a bottom grid for draining, a top grid to raise the work surface, and a distinctive cutting board made of replenishable Iroko wood. Used individually, the two symmetrically shaped cutting boards easily adapt for left or right hand use. When both cutting boards are used together, the sink is transformed into a single solid work or serving surface that lends itself perfectly to informal entertaining events.
The Centennial sink series is just one of the latest innovations from Franke, the world's largest manufacturer of kitchen sinks. The privately held company specializes in the design and engineering of luxury systems for the management of air, water and waste. With sales of some $2+ billion, the Switzerland-based Franke Group is also the global market leader in Foodservice Systems; manufactures Washroom and Beverage systems; and conducts industrial engineering operations at 66 companies in 40 countries. Franke Kitchen Systems product lines are marketed in North America by Franke Luxury Products Group. For more information visit www.frankeksd.com or call 1-800-626-5771.
