Frank Family Vineyards Voted "Best Winery" In Napa Valley 2012 In The ABC7 KGO Online Bay Area A-List Contest
CALISTOGA, Calif., April 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Frank Family Vineyards has again been proved a must-stop destination in Napa Valley. For the third year in a row, the winery took first place in the "Best Napa Winery" category in the annual Bay Area A-List contest, sponsored by KGO/ABC 7 San Francisco.
"We've always had a loyal following," comments co-owner Rich Frank. "But recent accolades from the wine critics, including 15 reviews over 90 points from Wine Spectator, and 14 reviews over 90 points from The Wine Advocate, have substantially added to our popularity." In the December 2009 issue of the Wine Advocate, Robert M. Parker said of Frank Family " ... keep an eye out for this first-growth quality ... "
The old stone winery on property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, but it is the tasting room that is consistently recognized by national publications. Wine Enthusiast magazine included it as one of only six Napa wineries awarded a spot on their list of the country's top 25 tasting rooms, and FoodRepublic.com recently named it one of the "Top 5." The tasting room has also been recommended in the Wall Street Journal, New York Daily News and USA Today. Celebrities have flocked to the winery over the years as well, including visits from Oprah Winfrey, Teri Hatcher, Stacy Keibler, Geena Davis and Eric Stonestreet. When Fergie and Josh Duhamel got married in Southern California, they poured Frank Family Caberent Sauvignon.
The tasting room is housed in a yellow Craftsman house on the property and engages visitors with its warm, convivial charm. Frank Family's "Founders Society" wine club, launched in 2010, is almost at maximum capacity. For more information, call 800.574.9463 or visit www.frankfamilyvineyards.com.
