Frameless LLC Announces Kickstarter Campaign and Online Artist Alley - Launch Party Hosted at LA's Famous Meltdown Comics
LOS ANGELES, April 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- After a buzz-worthy debut at Wizard World in Las Vegas, Frameless LLC is turning to the crowdfunding community as part of taking its innovative product to the next level. On Tuesday, April 19, the company will be renting out Meltdown Comics in Los Angeles to stage a live, streaming Kickstarter launch party from 7:30 am until 9 pm PST on ShopXSN.com. Frameless has also scheduled a full day of ad slots on KIIS FM, the city's most popular hit radio station.
Filming the live event at Meltdown will be Jacob Stark, who recently produced, directed and filmed the Good Charlotte video for "Makeshift Love," which has garnered more than 750,000 YouTube views to date. XSN – Meltdown's live streaming shopping network – will run video from the party all day.
The cross-marketing arrangement with Meltdown is certain to be a huge coup for Frameless, which is quickly building a reputation after being the standout booth at Wizard World. Previously, a launch party for the MST3K Kickstarter pulled in $650,000 in just 5 hours, thanks in large part to the vast community of XSN subscribers. Meltdown is encouraging local fans, writers, artists and cosplayers to stop in and enjoy the festivities in person.
Frameless offer a simple, "frame-less" way to hang graphic art, comics, prints and posters – all with no risk of damaging the item. The company has engineered a universal mounting bracket that works with flat wall art of any size. The product assembles in four easy steps, and the bracket includes a custom leveling system to ensure perfection. A successful Kickstarter campaign will enable the company to ramp up production and develop new and engaging offerings.
The Frameless team is also working hard to build out its artist alley. A familiar concept for convention goers, the artist alley features celebrated artists and their work all together in one place. The Frameless artist alley consist of an online directory of artists, artwork, biographies, links to websites and social media, and contact information. A portion of Kickstarter funds will also go toward producing Frameless Dailies, a segment of the business that will sell daily artwork from artists featured in the online artist alley. Frameless plans to share profits with Frameless Dailies artists; the concept debuts in early 2017.
William Hopp and the Frameless team has created the Give a Hero Movement, a donation drive wherein people can bring their old comic books to participating Las Vegas comic shops, where they will be collected and given to The Shade Tree, a domestic violence shelter for women and children, so that they can find heroes in their lives again. Comic shops and domestic violence shelters outside of Las Vegas are encouraged to contact William Hopp to join the movement.
