Rev. Xose G. Escamilla, National Hispanic Board Chair, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), said, "An overwhelming majority of delegates representing Convention area Hispanic Churches within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) from California to New York and from Florida to Washington, voted to join as a denomination member of the NHCLC in our past bi-annual assembly in San Antonio Texas in July of this year. NHCLC holds the same values within our Christian faith of the overwhelmingly Hispanic Disciples of Christ churches in the United States."
The National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference is the Hispanic Evangelical Association unifying, serving and representing millions in the Hispanic Born Again Community via 40,118 churches by reconciling the vertical and horizontal of the Christian message through the 7 Directives of Life, Family, Great Commission, Stewardship, Justice, Education and Youth.
"The NHCLC is proud to welcome a wonderful group of sister organizations to this movement that upholds the Lamb's agenda," said, Rev. Eliezer Bonilla, Sr. Pastor of Abundant Life Church of God in San Antonio, Texas, and NHCLC Executive Board Member. "The Church of God of the Prophecy, International Holiness Pentecostal Church, Disciples of Christ-Hispanic Ministry, and the Pentecostal Church of God International Movement have as their mission the defense of righteousness and justice as reflected in their core values. Through their outstanding leadership, they represent a voice of influence and prophetic witness. This broad national and international representation is another evidence of the solidarity of our movement and the impact it's having on our nation. We know that their presence will add another needed voice and enrich us even more."
"The Pentecostal Church of God, International Movement feels proud to be part of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, the largest Hispanic organization in the United States. Being part of an organization that defends the religious and social biblical principles, standing firm on justice and righteousness certainly conveys our strong commitment with our constituents. Today more than ever our beliefs must be heard and defended, united as the body of Christ we will endure," said Rev. William Hernandez, Vice President, Pentecostal Church of God International Movement.
Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, President of the NHCLC, said, "Our partnership with these denominations represents a mutually affirmed commitment to reconcile Billy Graham's message of Salvation through Christ with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s march for Justice."
