FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., May 17, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Bullying Academy was among many small businesses and non-profit organizations that were nominated in recognition for their leadership, integrity, and management skills in the Fort Lauderdale area. At the 2013 Small Business of the Year Awards, the organization was presented an award for Outstanding Business Practices & Success. The program's coordinator, Amanda Arana, proudly accepted the award on behalf of the team behind the interactive anti-bullying program for 4th – 8th grade students.

It is fitting that the organization should receive a certificate and award for their contributions towards raising awareness and attempting to reduce the number of bullying-related incidents across the country. When students engage in their online program, they personally receive a certificate for their score and help put their school in the running to win the Bullying Academy National Championship.
The Bullying Academy requires no additional software or extensive training for teachers. Schools simply register with the program's website and students immediately have the curriculum available to them. It can be implemented during any class period or extracurricular activity. Schools across the country use the program; however it is most heavily used in Palm Beach County thanks to Walser Law Firm (www.walserlaw.com), who funded any school in the county that signed up for the program during the 2012-2013 school year. Although this school year is quickly coming to an end, schools are already signing up for the 2013-2014 year, so if you are interested in your school becoming a Bullying Academy National Champion, please visit www.bullyingacademy.org.
