Forrester Analyst Joins Relayware to Drive Customer Success
Harmon To Draw Upon His Vast Industry Experience and Best Practices to Ensure Customers Get Optimal Return on The Channel Investment
OXFORD, England and JERSEY CITY, N.J., Feb. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Relayware, a global leader and provider of PRM and B2B collaboration and multi-channel communication solutions, today announced that former Forrester Principal Analyst Tim Harmon has joined the company's executive management team as VP of Customer Success. In his new role, Harmon will draw upon his market expertise and knowledge of industry best practices to help Relayware customers improve their channel effectiveness while also representing the "voice of the customer" to ensure their needs and requirements are heard within the company.
Prior to joining Relayware, Harmon was a Principal Analyst with Forrester Research, where he helped channel professionals develop, enable and grow their indirect sales, services and delivery channels. During his six-year tenure with the firm, Harmon was a prolific analyst, authoring many reports on the impact of cloud computing, mobile technology, and enterprise collaboration on the Partner Relationship Management (PRM) market. In two of his more recent overviews of the PRM market – "The Forrester Wave™: Partner Relationship Management (PRM) Platforms, Q4 2013" and "Partner Relationships Need their Own Management System" – Harmon cautioned that customer relationship management (CRM) software alone is not sufficient to address the complex and multifaceted requirements demanded by partner- and channel-centric organizations.
"PRM solutions have advanced tremendously in the last couple of years, meeting the dynamic needs of today's sophisticated channel organizations in managing partner deal registration, training and certification, and collaborative business planning and opportunity development," said Harmon. "By addressing these diverse requirements through its unified, rules-driven platform, Relayware is best suited to give channel pros the visibility and control over their partner program effectiveness. Relayware stands out not just for its technology, but for its fanatical commitment to its customers' success."
Prior to joining Forrester, Tim served in executive management and mentoring roles in the vendor, user, industry analyst, and venture capital aspects of the IT industry. He has been a featured speaker at many industry conferences involving channel management, business intelligence, data warehousing, and enterprise applications and has been published in Vertical Systems Reseller, Austin-American Statesman, BI Review, DM Review, and Intelligent Enterprise.
Harmon is the second senior executive to join Relayware this year. Jim Somers joined the company last month as Chief Marketing Officer to lead the company's global marketing strategy and help accelerate Relayware's expansion into the North America market. In September 2013, Relayware raised $5.5 million from Albion Ventures to fund dramatic growth with additional sales and marketing resources.
"As we grow our business and add new customers, it is imperative that we provide solid strategic consultancy and industry best practices for our customers to ensure they get the most out of their Relayware investment, and ultimately get higher performance from their indirect channels," said Mike Morgan, Chief Executive Officer for Relayware. "Tim's deep experience in helping enterprises build, develop and enable their indirect channels really makes him the ideal candidate to provide that strategic vision for our customers and take ownership for their ongoing success."
