Former Department Of Homeland Security Chief Of Staff Paul Rosen To Speak At Seatrade Cruise Global 2017 Safety And Security Symposium
NEW YORK, Feb. 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Seatrade Cruise Global announces Paul Rosen, Department of Homeland Security Chief of Staff during the Obama administration, will be a panelist at the upcoming inaugural Seatrade Cruise Global Safety and Security Symposium. A new addition in programming for 2017, the symposium will take place 14-16 March 2017 in the Floridian Ballroom of the Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center. Rosen will share his knowledge and expertise on a variety of topics including cybersecurity from his tenure at the Department of Homeland Security.

Under President Obama's administration, Paul Rosen served as Chief of Staff at the Department of Homeland Security, overseeing the operational and organizational needs of the third largest department in the United States government. He advised the Secretary and Deputy Secretary on all matters for which the Department of Homeland Security was responsible for including counterterrorism, cyber security, border security, aviation security, trade and travel, immigration, federal disaster response, and criminal law enforcement matters.
Previously serving as Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Counselor at the Department of Homeland Security and Chief of Staff at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Rosen also worked as a federal prosecutor as well as in the Department of Justice Criminal Fraud Section. He also served as Counsel to then-Senator Joseph Biden on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Currently Principal of Broad Reach Maritime LLC, Sifling is a retired Coast Guard Commander who has served in a variety of assignments including Commanding Officer of Marine Safety Office Juneau and Captain of the Port of Southeast Alaska. After retiring from the Coast Guard, he worked for eight years as Vice President, Fleet Security and Company Security Officer at Princess Cruises.
