MIAMI, July 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- New boot camp-style program STRONG by Zumba® has announced today its newest Master Trainer, celebrity fitness guru and athlete Jeanette Jenkins. The music-led, high intensity program that pairs together bodyweight and plyometric exercises is shaking up the HIIT world with its innovative approach of syncing moves to music. Jeanette Jenkins believes it is the key to motivating the masses to engage with high intensity training.
"What attracted me to this program is the role music plays in the workout—tracks are reverse-engineered, meaning that routines are created first and then music producers score a soundtrack to it, so every movement is matched to a beat," said Jenkins. "I've been in the fitness industry for more than two decades and this is the first time I've seen a fitness program take this approach where music is the main motivator. The music motivates you to push harder & complete more reps which in turn gives you more results and the FUN factor is off the charts!"
As a Master Trainer, Jenkins will host training sessions throughout the U.S. for those wanting to become licensed in the program, including an official kick-off at the IDEA World Convention in Las Vegas on July 19th. She will host additional trainings throughout the year and co-host the first ever STRONG by Zumba® pop-up series in the Hamptons this summer. Other celebrity fitness trainers and influencers like Michelle Lewin and Brittne Babe have also fallen in love with STRONG by Zumba®.
"I am extremely impressed with SYNC, the STRONG by Zumba® network, which provides new workouts and music every month for those that join the membership program--so basically their students will never plateau or get bored," continues Jenkins. "The STRONG by Zumba® Program is brilliant and I am thrilled to join the family and bring this innovative workout to my fans. I know it will motivate and inspire millions of people to get moving!"
STRONG by Zumba® is a non-dance, one-hour group exercise class that combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves that are specifically designed and synced to original music, produced by Grammy-award winning music producers. A leader in creating original music for years, Zumba applied its expertise to create a boot camp experience where the music is matched to the moves. This synced music motivation allows the body to use energy more efficiently, and pushes class participants past their perceived limits.
"We're so happy that Jeanette has decided to become a STRONG by Zumba® Master Trainer. She has shared her expertise with us in the program and we know she will do an incredible job highlighting all the benefits and unique aspects of this workout," said Zumba CEO Alberto Perlman. "Jeanette is the perfect choice to help grow this program and differentiate it from the original Zumba® class, which uses dancing to make cardio fun. This is definitely not a dance class!"
